High School Career Fair Invitation

Dear Pinnacle Families,

We are pleased to invite Pinnacle parents and guardians to share their career experience with our students during the Career Fair at Pinnacle Charter High School (PCHS). Whether you work as a medical assistant, mechanic, HVAC, in the restaurant industry, or you own your own business, we would like to have you join us.

We are seeking professionals who are interested in spending some time with our high school students and sharing their experiences in their perspective careers. Our goal is to introduce our students to a variety of careers, choices, and opportunities that may be available to them, and the educational demands of specific careers. Many of our students are unaware of the career opportunities available and this is our way of providing them with first-hand knowledge of potential careers. We believe our goal can be met with your participation.

Our Career Fair will be in the High School Gymnasium on Friday, April 20, 2018. This event will be a way for you to get involved with Pinnacle and make an impact on our students. If you would like to attend, we ask that you fill out a RSVP Form, which you can request and submit via email by no later than Tuesday, March 20, 2018 to violeta.apodaca@pinnaclecharterschool.org.

Please contact us with any questions. We hope to hear from you!

With gratitude,

Todd Bittner

Pinnacle High School Students Win Daniels Scholarships

Three of our  very own Pinnacle High School students, Rolando Botello, Israel Olivas, and Tiffany Nguyen are proud recipients of the prestigious Daniels Fund Scholarship award.  The High School Principal, Mr. Todd Bittner, was able to recognize and present certificates of accomplishment to Rolando Botello and Israel Olivas at the the April 17, 2017 School Board meeting.

All three students have been at the Pinnacle since 2nd grade.  It’s the partnership of the parents, students, teachers, and staff striving to generate students who are leaders and ready to take on the challenges of college and future careers.

Our three students are three of 2,000 candidates for the Daniels Fund Scholarship award.  Having three recipients from one school is uncommon.  This is a true testament of the Pinnacle’s Vision to educate learners of today and create leaders of tomorrow.

What is the Daniels Fund Scholarship?
The Daniels Scholarship is an exciting and challenging program that provides the opportunity to obtain a four-year college education at any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States, complete with financial and personal support throughout the journey. The Daniels Scholarship Program offers resources, encouragement, and inspiration far beyond the financial assistance needed to earn a college degree. Our goal is not only to help Daniels Scholars succeed in college, but to ensure that they thrive beyond their years in college. Every year, Daniels Scholars are selected from our four-state region of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Daniels Scholars currently attend more than 200 colleges and universities in 45 states. As of June 2016, the Daniels Scholarship Program has provided nearly $138 million in undergraduate scholarships to nearly 3,500 students.

Additionally, Pinnacle High School Seniors have received $2,281,290 in scholarship awards and 74% of students have applied to or been accepted to a 2 or 4 year program
